My fabulous and easy to use glitter arrived from Beautylish and Lit Cosmetics so you know I couldn’t wait to try them out! I’m a firm believer in mixing and matching brands to get the look that works for me, so I paired Lit’s “Boogie Nights” with OCC’s “Distortion” in the crease and Magnolia Makeup’s “Caramel” as a highlighter.
Using Lit’s adhesive was much easier than I’d initially thought. They provided me with an applicator so I all I had to do was dip it into the liquid adhesive, then dab the applicator into the glitter. The beauty of the product is that you can apply as little or as much as you want. It worked best after allowing about 30 seconds for drying time. Trial and error is the best teacher in the world of makeup, because I discovered that I should have used my MAC Fluidline (in “Blacktrack“) before I applied the glitter, as the liner was less pliable. At any rate, I forged ahead and applied the OCC with a small eye-brush into the crease and pulled the color up toward the brow bone. I finished up this look with the Magnolia pigment under the brow bone but I pulled the color down a bit to soften the OCC pigment. Lashes were last and I used my favorite drugstore brand, L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes in Blackest Black. Since I wear glasses, I hardly ever
apply false lashes but YOU can certain do so to add some extra drama and flair!
Boogie Nights lasted all night! What I loved was that I could rinse the glitter off with just plain water. Of course, I followed up with makeup remover and cleanser to prep my face for my night-time moisturizer, but if I were just wearing the glitter, water would have sufficed nicely! I’m all about EASY makeup application and removal of products. Lit glitter did not irritate my sensitive eyes and I can’t wait to try out the other colors I ordered via Beautylish!
